Creative Idea – Floral & Decorations

When it comes to weddings, flowers usually become a large part of decorations.  Whether it’s bouquets for the bride and bridesmaids, boutonnieres for groom and groomsmen, or centerpieces for the banquet tables, most couples simply think of flowers.

No matter you’re using roses or calla lilies, mums or gerbera daisies, the fact is that no guests are ever going to remember how nice your floral arrangements may look.  On the other hand, if you think outside the box and create some non-floral decorations, those unique touches will certainly make a lasting impression.

So…who makes a rule saying a bouquet needs to be a floral bouquet?  What if some brides have major hay fever or simply dislike flowers, are they out of luck then?  Fear not! Here are some gorgeous ideas of non-floral bouquets:

Moreover, who says bride and bridesmaids have to carry a bouquet down the aisle?  Why can’t it be balloons? Paper parasols? Lanterns? Elegant clutches adorned with flowers or a brooch?  It’s YOUR grand entrance, so make a statement out of it!  Choose something that is either close to your heart or relevant to the wedding theme, and let your personality shine through starting from the first step you walk down the aisle.

Why create a wedding planning company?

Many people asked Gary and me, why are we opening a wedding planning company?  Our friends commented, “You both must be out of your mind! Creating your own wedding wasn’t stressful enough, and you’re now longing for more?”  We smiled and said with much enthusiasm: “Yes, we are crazy.  We are crazily in love with weddings and can’t get enough of it!”  I don’t mean to sound cheesy, but it is really our passion towards the meticulous planning, the detailed logistics, the amazing flowers and décor, the classic or trendy style of weddings, the meaningful traditions and customs, and the beautiful unity of each couple that drive us to launch the Blueprint for Love.

As a female, I’m a typical girl who is in love with all things beautiful and stylish.  I love to get involved in anything that has to do with decorations, designs, fashion, and food!

As a research and planning nerd, I’d love to browse and subscribe on all different wedding websites and magazines.  I am forever in search of inspiration, things that will put a smile on my face and touch my heart.

In this blog, you will see many upcoming wedding inspirations, theme based color palettes, breathtakingly beautiful wedding related items, and saving tips.  My dream is to inspire you in small tiny ways; breaking away from the old walls of traditions and implement unique characteristics to make the wedding personal and ultimately yours.

After all, we name our wedding planning company, Blueprint for Love, because we truly believe in uniqueness. No love stories are ever the same; why should your wedding be cookie cut from someone else’s?
