Creative Idea – Floral & Decorations

When it comes to weddings, flowers usually become a large part of decorations.  Whether it’s bouquets for the bride and bridesmaids, boutonnieres for groom and groomsmen, or centerpieces for the banquet tables, most couples simply think of flowers.

No matter you’re using roses or calla lilies, mums or gerbera daisies, the fact is that no guests are ever going to remember how nice your floral arrangements may look.  On the other hand, if you think outside the box and create some non-floral decorations, those unique touches will certainly make a lasting impression.

So…who makes a rule saying a bouquet needs to be a floral bouquet?  What if some brides have major hay fever or simply dislike flowers, are they out of luck then?  Fear not! Here are some gorgeous ideas of non-floral bouquets:

Moreover, who says bride and bridesmaids have to carry a bouquet down the aisle?  Why can’t it be balloons? Paper parasols? Lanterns? Elegant clutches adorned with flowers or a brooch?  It’s YOUR grand entrance, so make a statement out of it!  Choose something that is either close to your heart or relevant to the wedding theme, and let your personality shine through starting from the first step you walk down the aisle.

Sorry, I’m a “Slogger”

Sorry, I haven’t been writing the blog once a week as I promise again.  Yes, I’m a “slogger” — a blogger who is also a slacker.  The Chinese New Year, Olympics, and a couple of new clients have stole away from my blogging time.  Now that the post Olympics hangover is gone, I will keep the blog up again!

Valentine’s Day+Chinese New Year+ BFL 1st year anniversary = SWEET DEALS FOR YOU!

This Sunday (Feb 14)  is a very special day.  Not only is it Valentine’s Day, Chinese New Year also happens to fall on the same day as well.  Having the two big festivities together, it is definitely worth to have some fun and celebration; but wait! there’s one more reason to party, and that is the 1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF BLUEPRINT FOR LOVE!!!

Time surely flies.  I still remember the days when I was trying to scramble to get the web pages done, and trying to get the print shop to do my business cards right, etc.  One year has literally flown by with a blink of an eye, and in this one short year, we have accomplished more than we have expected.  We would like to share some of the highlights with you:

  • 8 segments of radio show with Ms. Deborah Moore at AM1470
  • Quote on Globe and Mail
  • Listed as a recommended vendor on Today’s Bride
  • Planned and coordinated a 30th year anniversary party last November
  • Planned and coordinated a 30 people luxurious wedding party this February
  • Planning and coordinating a 200 people wedding for this coming August
  • Partially planning and emceeing for a 100 people wedding in November

Of course, all these accomplishments would not be possible if we do not have immense support from our beloved family and friends; therefore, we would really like to express our appreciation by offering an amazing deal to everyone.

For you people out there who have just engaged, you are in for a treat!  If you email us your beautiful proposal story by February 28/2010,  the three most romantic proposal submitters will receive $214 off from our Day of Coordination or the Full Wedding Coordination.  For married couples, don’t you be discouraged, as we have something for you as well!  If you would like to go back in time and relive the moment, we would love to offer a 14% off for your wedding anniversary party planning package to you.  All you have to do is to tell us how you two met and fell in love by February 28/2010, and the first three couples will receive this sweet deal.

Now, go out to spread the wonderful news to your family and friends!
